Portfolio manager assistant

For a financial company based in Limassol, we are looking for a Portfolio Manager Assistant

Main Purpose of the Role

The main purpose of the role will be to support a small team of Portfolio Managers in an analytical and administrative capacity. The latter will include monitoring investment portfolios, conducting ad hoc research and preparing material for investment reports. The opportunity exists for progression to a portfolio management role over time.

Duties/Responsibilities:

- Generating an investment policy statement, outlining the client’s investment objective

- Constructing successful investment portfolios informed by market conditions and economic trends.

- Buying and selling securities in client accounts to maintain a specific investment strategy, or to reach an investment objective.

- Determining acceptable risk levels for clients based on time frames, risk preferences, return expectations and market conditions.

- Maintaining new and existing client relationship, including informing clients of investment research and economic trends and to discuss their portfolio performance and investment objectives.

- Evaluating and performance of investment portfolios and ensuring compliance with standards provided by regulatory organizations, including conformance with investor disclosures, privacy laws, anti-money laundering requirements, and anti-frauds measures.

- Prospecting for new clients

- Staying up to date with relevant investment and trading news, and economic trends

Requirements:

- Detailed understanding of capital market

- Proficient in Microsoft office suite

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Other languages are considered as advantage.

- Highly organized and detail- oriented

- Bachelor’s degree in business, economics or finance is an advantage.

- CySec’s Basic/Advanced or AML test certifications is an advantage.
